Development of small-aircraft Aero AT-3 began to lead in the middle of 90-ies, while originally intended to use aircraft with an aircraft for private use, which ultimately led to the low cost of this model, as well as mediocre lёtno- technical characteristics, and that affected the popularity of the small aircraft.

The Aero AT-3 aircraft made its first flight in 1997, however, initially the design and performance of this aircraft did not satisfy the developers, and therefore the aircraft had to be modified, and only 5 years later, in 2002, this aircraft was first presented to the general public, after which it entered mass production.

Initially, the aircraft was designed and released as a version built with his own hands, but later it was decided to begin mass production of the aircraft, as the prospect of the development of light-aircraft clearly felt in Poland.

Aboard Aero AT-3 2 can accommodate people - a pilot and a passenger that does not allow to operate the aircraft for commercial purposes, but given the rather small cost of the aircraft, orders for the current model act, albeit in very small quantities.

The power plant of the light-engine aircraft Aero AT-3 is presented in the form of a Rotax 912S Elprop 3-1-1P piston engine with a power of 100 hp, which allows the aircraft to reach a speed of 236 km / h (maximum flight speed). This power plant is quite simple in terms of its maintenance, which is why the operation of the aircraft is not costly for the owners.

Aircraft Aero AT-3 no different and a large range of flight - the maximum distance for the flight of the aircraft is 717 kilometers, which is not always appropriate, even if private operation.

In some cases, Aero AT-3 can be used for aerobatic stunt, however, to a greater extent the suitability of the aircraft for this program depends on the intended flight. Due to its high maneuverability and controllability is quite acceptable, the aircraft often can be seen on various airshows.

According to official figures, at the end of the year it was built 2014 12 aircrafts Aero AT-3, most of which are located in Poland, however, it is also aware of orders from Germany, the Czech Republic and other European countries.
