The design of the AirStrato unmanned aerial vehicle was carried out by Romanian experts in the field of aircraft construction in cooperation with the American corporation ARCA Space Corporation. A new unmanned aerial vehicle was to be deployed in the military sphere to perform tasks related to the collection of reconnaissance data, the performance of observational and patrol operations, and also to be used as an independent combat unit (a similar possibility was provided for the testing of the second prototype UAV). Nevertheless, according to the beginning of 2016, the unmanned AirStrato aircraft continues to be in development. While the implementation of the project is scheduled for 2018 year.
