Chronology of events:

The airplane on the cruise-slope system entered the landing in the conditions of fog (visibility on the strip - 1300 m) and in the dark. The crew began with a significant vertical speed reduction, which caused the departure under the glide path of the aircraft, and then at an altitude of 165-170 m in a horizontal flight it transferred. Then, at a distance of 2-2,5 km from the band, the crew again began to decline, but this time with a vertical speed less than necessary. Yak-40 became above the glide path and passed at the height of 30-40 m end of the runway. At 3300 m from the end of the strip the pilot may have seen the lights of the strip and made a mistake in deciding on the landing. The reverse was switched on, and the engines were switched to a small gas. At the last moment the crew realized the error and took steps to go to the second circle, but the plane landed in 260 m from the strip to the ground. The pilot tried to lift the plane, but at a height of two meters the Yak-40 crashed into a small concrete building of the course radio beacon, lost the right wing plane, and then struck the concrete fence of the airport, losing the left plane. The fuselage in the narrow shallow channel of Kara-Su collapsed, which ran along the fence, and burnt.
