Chronology of events:

The aircraft on the course-landing system landed in foggy conditions (visibility on the runway - 1300 m) and at night. The crew began to descend at a significant vertical speed, which caused the plane to go under the glide path, and then at a height of 165-170, the plane flew into horizontal flight. Then, at a distance of 2-2,5 km from the runway, the crew began to descend again, but this time with a vertical speed less than necessary. Yak-40 was above the glide path and passed at the height of the 30-40 m end of the runway. In the 3300 m from the end of the strip, the pilot may have seen the strip lights and mistakenly made a decision regarding the landing. The reverse was turned on, and the engines were switched to low gas. The crew at the last moment realized a mistake and took steps to go to the second round, but the plane landed in 260 m from the strip on the ground. The pilot tried to lift the plane into the air, but at a height of two meters the Yak-40 crashed into a small reinforced concrete course beacon building, lost the right wing plane, and then broke through the concrete fence of the airport, losing the left plane. The fuselage in the narrow shallow channel Kara-Su collapsed, which flowed along the fence, and burned.

Improper installation of the mode switch kursoglissadnoy-board systems and the failure of a number of points of control chart called withdrawal from the glide path.

The findings, which investigated plane crash

- The absence of a missed approach with a decision height, a continuation of the approach when the crew of the airplane above the set glide and landing in the absence of a visual reference to landmarks and approach lights.
