Airline "Donbassaero" is a Ukrainian company, which was based at the airport of Donetsk. For the period of the year carried over 2008 516000 passengers. Serving in the Ukrainian Aviation Group. In 2013 year it declared bankrupt and liquidated.

History of the airline

It began its business in 1931 year when Stalin's city council instructed the department of urban management and land departments to find the area for the construction of a civil airport in Donetsk (from 1924 1961 year the city of Stalin).

In 1933, the airport was built and named "Stalino". The first flight from Stalino to Starobelsk was also organized and conducted. Three years later, in the spring, a detachment of light U-2 aircraft was created at the airport. They carried out air-chemical works in the agrarian direction, sanitary, cargo, postal and passenger transportation. In the 1941 year, in accordance with the "Regulations on wartime", in June the GVF was called into the Red Army. In 44-th year, after the liberation of the entire Donbas from the German occupation, the enterprise returned to civil air transportation of cargo, mail, passengers. Sometimes planes used for agriculture.

In 52-year at the airport organized a squadron of aircraft heavy machine Li-2. In 57-year entered into operation the new terminal, which was designed by architect Vladimir Solovyov. Its capacity was 100 passengers per hour. In 1961 the city and, accordingly, the airport was renamed in Donetsk. Between x and 60-70-ies started to operate machines Antonov aircraft 24, 10 and Ilyushin 18. The flying squad PANH began to perform, agricultural aviation and chemical works is not only not only in the region of Donetsk, but also in areas of the German Democratic Republic and Central Asia.

The global reconstruction of the radio technical means of landing and take-off and the airport runway was carried out in 1974, and a year later the new building was put into operation. The throughput capacity of the new premises was 500 passengers per hour. In 1982, the airport personnel (pilots, engineers and technicians) began to master the new Yak-42 3rd generation aircraft. A year later, Donetsk Airport was the first in the USSR to make international flights on the Yak-42. After the Donetsk flight and technical personnel, the Lvov, Simferopol, Dnepropetrovsk airlines and pilots from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Lithuania began the exercises.

Between 88-89-th of the year Aircrew airport took an active part in helping the victims of the Spitak earthquake. In 1991, the "Donetsk United Air" was renamed the "Donetsk airline." After a year on its own, the company renovated units Yak-42. In 1993 year began international flights and familiarization flights on the Yak-42. 40 were open air areas. In 1998, the "Donetsk airline" did state airline and renamed "Donbass - Eastern airlines."

In 2003, the airline was reorganized. Thus, we divided Donetsk airport and the airline, which received a new status - the Donetsk municipal enterprise of the regional council or, in other words, the Donbassaero airline.

In 2005, the company acquired its first Airbus A320. Another year later. A year later, the creation of an alliance between Aerosvit and the Ukrainian Aviation Group was announced. In December of the same year, the airline was reorganized again, which resulted in the appearance of Donbassaero LLC. In 2008, a program for frequent flyers was introduced - "Meridian". As a result, the program became successful and is still developing in other Ukrainian airlines.

At the end of 2012 almost the entire flying fleet from Donbassaero was placed at the disposal of the airline "Rose of the Winds". The airline's management also informed employees that it plans to carry out a mass reduction. In December of the same year, an application was submitted to the court for bankruptcy. In early January of the year 2013 on the results of court proceedings it was decided to introduce a moratorium on creditors' claims. In March, the State Aviation Service of Ukraine stopped operating the certificate of the airline Donbassaero. Permits for maintenance were also suspended.
