In 2005 year in Kazakhstan started its activity airline "MEGA". The base airport company was the Almaty airport. This airline was established as a private company. The main task of the company specialization and advocated the implementation of high-quality passenger transport on international charter routes. In addition to the carriage of passengers, the company is actively engaged in and transport of various cargoes. Airlines to Almaty international airports transports cargo to cities such as Tbilisi and Baku.

It should be noted that this is the first company in Kazakhstan in the beginning of their work to exploit Western airliners manufacturing. As part of the fleet of the company "Mega" were the three types of aircraft, namely IL-18, 26-An and Boeing 727.

Despite the efforts of the company's management, it ceased operations in the 2013 year. The reason for the termination of activities was the deprivation of the company certificate for flight operations. The commission on civil aviation in Kazakhstan revealed many inconsistencies with the basic requirements that each airline faces.
