Cessna 205 is a six-light-engine aircraft American, equipped with a piston engine, produced in the period of 1962 1986 year. The aircraft is a modified several airplane Cessna 210, with improved performance and lёtnymi indicators.

With the development of the light engine Cessna 205, American aircraft engineers have found it necessary to improve the aerodynamic properties of the aircraft, making the aircraft not only more powerful, but also more perfect in terms of operational capabilities, control and maneuverability. Thanks to a number of applied solutions, the design of the Cessna 205 aircraft became more squat, and as a result it was decided to install the Continental IO-470-S engine in 260 hp on the aircraft, which was enough to reach the speed of 253 km / h (cruising Speed Cessna 205), as well as to overcome the distance in 1124 km when there is on board one pilot, five passengers and an additional cargo, placed in a special compartment for luggage.

Unlike the 210th model, the Cessna 205 aircraft underwent a number of changes in the design of the cockpit - the pilot and passenger seats became adjustable, and the window openings of the side windows became wider. Among other things, the Cessna 205 aircraft were equipped with new avionics, however, unlike the 210th model, there was also one very significant drawback here - the aircraft chassis became rigidly fixed, due to which a number of aerodynamic indicators decreased.

In the middle of the year 1963, the base production model has been replaced with a modification of the aircraft Cessna 205A, which, in general, has not undergone any technical changes, except for a bigger fuel tanks, allowing to overcome the distance in kilometers 1200.

In 1998 was supposed to resume production of aircraft Cessna 205 in a new guise and with new technical features, however, aircraft manufacturers drew attention to the fact that in this case the production would be quite expensive, while, as the chance that the model will become popular has been very small, which is why the attempt to establish the production was canceled.

For all time of release, the American aircraft building company produced 576 Cessna 205 aircraft, including two different modifications. The main reason why this aircraft was not popular with customers is the extremely rapid emergence of new models that are more sophisticated and simple in terms of operational capabilities and technical parameters. Nevertheless, at the end of 2014, around the world, 312 aircraft of this model were operated, mostly in private use and schools for training pilots, of which about 20 aircraft units of this model are present in Russia.
