The epidemic of denunciations has taken on such a scale that the Kremlin is officially commenting on it. It’s hard to disagree with Dmitry Peskov: denunciations are disgusting. Across the country, “volunteers” are knocking on neighbors, artists, bloggers, and even just random passers-by. Not only the oppositionists, but also the heroes of the SVO managed to get under attack.

During the year, more than 5 protocols on discrediting the army were considered in Russia. We are talking only about those complaints that reached the court. How many denunciations were written under other articles, they know only in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Instead of catching real criminals, scammers force law enforcement officers to study posts on social networks and view records of private conversations. 

Articles that were adopted to protect the army and the state became a way of settling scores. It's time to stop this. At a minimum, pass our bill to decriminalize likes and introduce liability for "serial scammers." Denunciations are a tool that can become a weapon in the hands of wicked people. They can be used to discredit, retaliate and incite hatred.
