 OJSC “Financial and Industrial Group Rosaviakonsortium” is implementing a very unusual project. The project of a new, wide-body aircraft for medium range lines “Frigate Ecojet. The project is unusual in many ways. Unusual design of the aircraft, the fuselage of which will be, has an ellipsoidal section. This will increase the volume of the passenger cabin and significantly reduce the weight of the liner. Now in the cockpit of the aircraft there will be three passes between the cress, in contrast to the traditional one or two passes. The layout of the row of seats will be 2 + 3 + 3 + 2. The design of the oval section fuselage caused a flurry of criticism in the aviation world. But the consortium continues to work, based on the results of research, computer modeling and blowing in wind tunnels.

 The plane is unusual not only constructively, but the scheme for the implementation of the entire project is also unusual. Rosaviakonsortium is the only developer and coordinator of the project. And in the future and the certificate holder. All stages of design, manufacturing, testing of aircraft are given to third-party suppliers and firms. Now a similar concept of production of aircraft tested by such giants as Boeing and Airbus, who left behind only the development and final assembly of their aircraft.

 For the further promotion of the project, Frigate Ecojet LLC was established, to which all rights and developments were transferred. Director General became Vasily Danilov.

 Now the project is at the stage of purging in a cryogenic wind tunnel. The conditions for blowing in the transonic tube are as close to real as possible. Purging is carried out by the company Thyssen Krupp System Engineering.
