Hughes TH-55 Osage

Hughes TH-55 Osage - American light training helicopter, took off for the first time in 1956. Designed by Hughes Helicopters for the US Army. On its basis, a civilian version of Hughes 269 was developed. The model 269 helicopter was built under license in Italy by the Breda Nardi company and in Japan by the Kawasaki company. The Hughes 300C is a modernized version of the Hughes 269. The first flight took place in August 1984. After the purchase of Hughes Helicopter by McDonnell Douglas, the rights to the helicopter were sold to Schweizer. Helicopters have been produced since 1983 under the name Schweizer 300C and 300CB. Schweizer was acquired by Sikorsky Aircraft in 2004. The helicopter is produced from February 2009 as the Sikorsky S300C. The helicopter is widely used as a training helicopter in civil and military flight schools and general aviation.
