Martin X-23 Prime - American unmanned aerial vehicle developed in 1966, the company «Martin Marietta».

Design of unmanned air vehicle model Martin X-23 Prime began in the US aerospace technology experts in the early 60-ies of the last century. The new device was of purely research purpose, and should have been used to assess the impact on the speed of movement of the fuselage structure. Despite this narrow scope and specifics of its application, the drone was very promising, because in the future, this has made it possible to implement on the basis of new unmanned drone funds.

The first flight of the Martin X-23 Prime UAV took place in December 1966, when the device rose to a height of 30 430 meters, and due to the fact that testing of this drone was successful, the project continued to exist, however, already in 1967, it was officially closed, although based on it and created new devices.

Due to the fact that the unmanned aerial vehicle model Martin X-23 Prime was developed and tested in 60-ies of the last century, the device does not have any means of telemetry.

Powerplant UAV Martin X-23 Prime presented of a nitrogen engine drone allowing a maximum speed of its flight in 27000 km \ h., Which is a record, however. Due to the small reserve of fuel and its rapid flow, the duration of the flight of this device is extremely small.
