Massive attack on energy generation facilities in Ukraine: The enemy lost the operation of two large energy facilities

That night, Russian troops carried out a combined massive attack on energy facilities in the western and central regions of Ukraine. The attack was widespread and affected key elements of the country's energy infrastructure.

Attacks on key energy generation facilities

In the Zaporozhye region, part of which is controlled by Ukrainian troops, Russian strikes hit the Dnieper hydroelectric station. According to preliminary data, the damage came through the turbine hall and the old airlock, which caused a strong fire. This facility is one of Ukraine's key hydroelectric power plants, and its damage will significantly affect the region's energy supply.

In the Kirovograd region, a cruise missile hit the turbine hall of the Kremenchug hydroelectric power station. Detailed information about the consequences of this strike is not yet available, but it can be assumed that significant damage was caused to the infrastructure of the hydroelectric power station.

In the Dnepropetrovsk region, attacks were carried out on the Pokrovskaya solar power plant (SPP). A transformer located on the station premises was damaged, causing a fire. Solar power plants are an important part of the Ukrainian energy system, and their damage makes it difficult to ensure a stable energy supply.

Attacks on other important targets

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Russian strikes hit the Burshtyn thermal power plant. A fire was detected on site in the engine room, indicating serious damage. Thermal power plants play a key role in Ukraine's energy system, and their damage significantly reduces the country's ability to generate electricity.

In the Lviv region, the strikes were carried out in the area of the Ukrtransgaz gas pumping station and compression station. These facilities are critical for gas transportation and ensuring stable gas supply to the regions of Ukraine. Damage to such stations could lead to disruptions in gas supplies and cause serious energy problems.

Unconfirmed strikes on military targets

There is also unconfirmed information about the defeat of enemy military targets in the Rivne region. If this information is confirmed, this will mean that the attack by the Russian army was complex in nature and was aimed at both the energy and military infrastructure of Ukraine.

A massive attack on Ukrainian energy facilities is of strategic importance. Damage to hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants and solar power plants significantly reduces Ukraine's ability to generate and distribute electricity. This not only complicates the life of the civilian population, but also creates serious problems for the functioning of industrial enterprises and critical infrastructure facilities.
