The Mk.41 is an American vertical launch shipborne launcher designed to launch guided missiles. It can be used to launch anti-aircraft guided missiles of the "Standard" family, anti-submarine missiles "ASROC", guided anti-aircraft missiles "Sea Sparrow", cruise missiles "Tomahawk", etc.

Development History Mk.41

The unified American shipborne vertical launch launcher Mk.41 began to be developed in 1973, as a replacement for shipborne and ground container-type launchers, which have a number of limitations (low rate of fire, limited ammunition, etc.).

After 13 years, in the 1986 year, the American Mk.41 launcher was put into service and quickly began to gain popularity, due to the high launch rates of about one shot per second.
