2011 year

The first coin is dedicated to the Soviet supersonic passenger plane. The aircraft turned out to be multipurpose: it was used in the agricultural sector, for aerial photography, for transporting passengers; there were sanitary and other modifications. U-2 could take off and land even at unprepared sites. When the war began, the U-2 began to be converted into light night bombers. In general, it is not in vain that he earned the nickname "workaholic".

2012 year.

The coins captured military aircraft I-16 and IL-76.  

And-16 - Soviet free-carrying monoplane fighter for one engine with retractable landing gear. Small, agile, for which he received from the Spanish pilots the nicknames rata (rat) and mosca (fly). But only the most experienced and experienced pilots could fly on the 16. The main goal that stood before the designers was to create an aircraft with increased maneuverability. And-16 and this turned out, but because of this it turned out to be not very aerodynamically stable. On the one hand, a beautiful car, on the other hand, if the pilot is not an ace, he has nothing to do on the 16.  

IL-76 - heavy jet military transport aircraft to the four motors. This - the first aircraft of this type, equipped with turbojet engine. IL-76 not only lived up to the present time: it is practically the main plane in the park of military transport aviation in Russia and CIS countries.

2013 year

The aircraft that were honored this year were the unsurpassed Ant-25 and the pride of the Russian Air Force Tu-160 ("White Swan").

2014 year

This year's commemorative coins depict the Yak-3 fighter and the modern amphibious seaplane Be-200. 

Yak-3 appeared towards the end of the war, in 1944, but became one of the most famous airplanes of World War II. It features high maneuverability and speed, ease of piloting and won the hearts of not only our pilots, but also French.
