New truce announced in Idlib

Russia and Turkey, as part of the ongoing negotiations, agreed to introduce a ceasefire in the Syrian province of Idlib. The Russian side notified the Syrian military about its plans, however, as experts note, such an approach is unlikely to be able to stabilize the situation in the region, since terrorists may attempt to seize a number of settlements or strengthen the militants' positions on the fronts.

Analysts, in turn, believe that a real truce should not be expected, since the agreement is unlikely to last more than 24 hours.

American aviation strikes at Iranian bases in Syria

American fighters struck a new blow to the eastern part of Syria, despite the statement by Donald Trump that Washington does not intend to fight with Iran. As a result of the air strike, at least 8 pro-Iranian military were killed, while the infrastructure of the military base of Iran was seriously damaged.

According to some reports, an attack on the positions of the Iranian military was inflicted after unknown persons fired at the American embassy and Balad base in Iraq with the use of 122 mm. rockets.
