A new action with the burning of the Koran was prevented in Stockholm. The provocation was planned in front of the Turkish embassy.

It is reported that the Swedish police intervened in the situation. Law enforcement officers did not allow such actions in Stockholm.

The Norwegian government has previously imposed a ban on the burning of the sacred Muslim book. This was stated by the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu.

After consultations with the security services, permission was denied to re-burn the Koran not only at the Turkish embassy, ​​but also in other places, police spokesman Ola Esterling said, Expressen reported on February 8.

“The burning of the Quran threatens Swedish society, as well as Swedes and Swedish interests abroad,” Österling explained.
