In the calculations of designers it was stated that this apparatus should be able to conduct a qualitative interception at a distance of up to one thousand kilometers. The working altitude of the flight reached an index of 25-30 kilometers. It should be noted that this unmanned vehicle had high speed indicators, which reach 4700 km / h, and this at maneuvering speeds. The design was finalized by the end of 1960.

This device was to protect the large and strategic facilities. The whole complex consisted of several types of radar guidance systems, as well as the start of a series of devices P-500.
