This became known from the April issue of the Military Thought magazine. The MiG-31 fighter-interceptor will be used to install the Kontakt anti-space defense system, and the Il-76 transport aircraft will be used to deploy the Sokol-Echelon A60 combat laser system. 

In addition, Russia already has a Peresvet combat laser system. These systems, according to the publication, can disable satellites without creating new space debris in orbit, by burning out the electronics of the affected objects.

The publication notes that anti-space systems, especially combat laser systems, are an important component of countering modern threats, such as space espionage and armed conflict in space. They can be used both to protect their own space objects and to attack enemy space objects.

However, experts note that the creation of anti-space complexes causes concern among other countries and may lead to a new wave of arms race in space. Questions also arise about the possibility of control and transparency of actions in the space field.
