Siraf is an Iranian multipurpose military unmanned aerial vehicle developed by aircraft builders from the college of the artillery training center of the Iranian Ground Forces.

The Siraf unmanned aerial vehicle is exclusively military development, however, while the aircraft has very wide operational and functional capabilities. Among them, one can single out tasks related to reconnaissance, observation and patrol operations, terrain monitoring, artillery fire correction, target designation, protection of the state border and border regions, etc. Due to the fact that the Iranian aircraft builders managed to achieve this project, minimum cost, the Siraf aircraft could quickly gain popularity.

The Iranian multipurpose unmanned aerial vehicle of the Siraf model was developed in an airplane-type configuration, while the device has quite compact overall dimensions, which in turn greatly simplifies the operation of the drone and its transportation. There is no own chassis system for this unmanned aerial vehicle, so an accelerating catapulting device is used to start the drone, which in turn ensures the applicability of the drone in almost any terrain.

The Siraf unmanned aerial vehicle is equipped with one piston internal combustion engine, which allows the device to develop a maximum speed of flight at 120 km / h, which is quite suitable for the qualitative realization of the goals and tasks set.
