Put a filter in the sky

New environmental safety standards developed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) may require airlines to update their fleets.

As recommended by ICAO experts from 170 countries, emissions standards for CO2NUMX aircraft may come into force in 2 for new aircraft types, and from 2020, production of models that do not meet the new standards should be discontinued.

Russia has a choice. Follow the recommendations of ICAO so that Russian planes can fly to all airports of the world.

Russian aviation has already passed a similar stage when ICAO issued recommendations on noise. Many aircraft were then transferred to domestic flights.

Noise, pollution, airspace congestion are the main problems of airports.

Airports, together with regulatory authorities, are constantly working on the issue of mitigation, for example, developing soundproofing programs. Currently, the main problem is air traffic congestion. There are many private jets and aircraft. Aviation noise is a constant subject of discussion in public debates, politics and the media.

This noise, especially harmful to people, is primarily caused by low-flying aircraft, such as helicopters, small planes and warships. This unpleasant noise, known as aircraft noise, caused by the engines and rotor blades, as well as turbulence of the track created by the aircraft. Certain restrictions on the construction of airports close to the territory within 50 radius of km from the runway.

However, due to the growth of cities, uncontrolled development of areas near airfields is underway, without taking into account the basic construction requirements for ecology. As a result, thousands of people live in known harmful conditions associated with the effects of aircraft noise.

According to studies by Swedish scientists, people living in areas with an average noise level from 55 to 72 dB have a higher risk of developing cardiovascular diseases by 80%. For example, the northern part of Skhodnya is located under the glide path of Sheremetyevo Airport, and the average level of aircraft noise here exceeds 65 dB in the daytime and 55 dB at night. The most important "suppliers" of noise pollution in the Moscow region today are the airports of Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo. Constantly high noise level is ensured by the continuous process of takeoff and landing of aircraft. Today the leader is Domodedovo: the airport can serve 45 take-off and landing operations per hour. That is, every 1,5 minutes. And in the near future, this figure will be increased to 96 operations (aircraft 3 every 2 minutes). Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo do not lag behind. They are able to handle 35 and 32 operations per hour, respectively. If we consider small airports, they do not create major inconveniences for residents of the surrounding areas, but nevertheless increase CO2 emissions.

World aviation is responsible for more than 2% CO2 emissions. With increasing attention to the problem of global warming, there is growing concern about the harmful emissions to the atmosphere produced by aircraft. Low-altitude aircraft emissions include nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons. These compounds are mixed with clean air and turn into smog.

Each liter of jet fuel burned leaves behind more than 2,5 kg of carbon dioxide. But even the most modern liner consumes several thousand liters of fuel per hour of flight! These emissions peak during takeoff and climb. This means that they are all concentrated in airport areas. Where people live!

It is extremely important to solve the problem of CO2 emissions and aircraft noise as soon as possible. Let me open the veil here. There is a company that specializes in aircraft noise, and also provides a full package of services, including acoustic consultation, prediction and measurement.

At a specific facility, the issue of reducing aircraft noise can be solved only after obtaining reliable data on its performance, obtained with the help of modern equipment and processed by qualified specialists. This service, in particular, is provided by the company ANOTEC ENGINEERING, which performs measurements of any noise in rooms and open areas in strict accordance with the applicable standards.

ANOTEC (Aircraft NOise TEChnology) offers solutions for aircraft noise of airliners and airports. The company mainly operates in Latin America and Asia. ANOTEC provides high-quality advice not only in the field of engineering services for the production of aircraft and engines, but also in matters of aircraft engine emissions. Recently, the company developed the MECETA model in Spain, which calculates emissions generated by air traffic in Spain, and based on this model, ANOTEC provides the government with information on the total emissions of CO2 aviation at the national level. To protect and rehabilitate people exposed to noise, it is necessary to constantly improve and expand active and passive noise protection measures. ANOTEC has a full certificate. He has a type certificate (TC) and an additional type certificate (STV). Software for testing equipment and analyzing company data has been approved by civil aviation authorities around the world.

That's what we need
