Yuriev, patented a single-rotor helicopter, in which the reactive torque was compensated by two propellers that perform additional propulsion functions in flight.” From this we can conclude that this fact is the basis for our designers in the future to design and produce single-rotor helicopters without a tail rotor - and no litigation on the Erbas patent!

I believe that it will be interesting for readers to familiarize themselves with the reaction of the cost center specialists according to this scheme at the end of the last century.

Such nonsense could occur only in the heads of the cost center designers who were bored with the past glory.

Now a few words from the history of the creation of the Mi-8. In May 1960g. At the cost center, the development of a new helicopter began The first experienced helicopter In-8, with one engine made the first flight in June 1961, and with 1965g. The twin-engine Mi-8 has already begun to be mass-produced at a helicopter plant in the city of Kazan. Then there were no computers, there was no experience in designing helicopters of this class with turboprop engines, like the engines themselves, but the helicopter went into a series of very successful and in a short time.

The reason is simple: at that time they did not know the word “CORRUPTION”, therefore Soviet helicopters occupied a leading position in the world and enjoyed steady demand in the world market, while our designers did not cease to amaze the audience with novelty at exhibitions. For example, our giant of the transverse scheme flew from France to the USSR under its own power:

At first, the situation will be saved by the light Ansat helicopter, after which the KVZ leaders will have to launch the medium helicopter of their own design, which I hope the Government of Tatarstan will help in order to avoid unemployment at the plant. It is possible that this would be a cross-section helicopter with main rotor blades from Ansat, and it would be very useful for the Ansat to develop an electrical remote control system for the main rotors. I believe that the RD-600 engines would be very well suited to the Ansat rotors, after all, even at the testing stage, their financing was stopped in order to please the French. It is understandable, because with the French engines you can "cut down" the good dough, and how many of our engines will you take!
