Visa category B1 VOA/E-VOA
Visa to Indonesia B1 VOA (Visa on Arrival) is one of the most convenient and common for short-term trips. It allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days with the possibility of extending for another 30 days. This type of visa is available to citizens of many countries, including Russia.
Key features of the B1 VOA visa:
- Validity: The visa is granted for 30 days with the possibility of extension for an additional 30 days.
- Type: Single entry, which means that upon exit the visa is cancelled and a new visa will be required for re-entry.
- Extension: Extension is only available once and can be done by contacting your local immigration office or using the e-VOA service.
How to get B1 VOA visa?
The process of obtaining a B1 VOA visa is quite simple and does not require contacting a consulate. Before departure, you must provide:
- Foreign passport: valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the country and with at least two blank pages.
- Return ticket: confirmation of a return flight or departure to a third country.
- Paying the visa fee: The cost is around IDR 500 (approximately USD 000).
- Medical insurance: not officially required, but recommended.
Process of obtaining B1 VOA visa in Indonesia:
- Upon arrival at the airport or seaport, follow the signs to the visa processing points.
- Pay the visa fee.
- Provide documents to immigration officers.
- Proceed through immigration control where you will be issued a visa with the required stamp.
If you need to stay in Indonesia longer, you have the option to extend your visa once for 30 days by contacting your local immigration office and submitting an application.
E-VOA - Electronic Visa
To make the entry process easier, the E-VOA is now available. It provides the same rights as the regular B1 VOA, but the process is smoother and faster.
How to apply for E-VOA:
- Register on the Indonesian Immigration website.
- Upload the required documents (passport scan, photo, ticket).
- Pay the visa fee as for B1 VOA.
- Upon arrival, present the QR code you will receive after check-in.
Long-term visas
In addition to temporary visas, Indonesia also offers a number of long-term visas, including:
- D12 visa. This visa is for those who plan to study or work in Indonesia. It allows a stay in the country for 12 months with the possibility of extension.
- B211 visa. This is also a long-term business visa, which is suitable for business trips. It is issued for up to 60 days with the possibility of extension.
- KITAS. This type of visa is intended for foreign nationals who plan to stay in Indonesia for a long period of time based on a work contract, study or family reunification. KITAS allows a stay of 6-12 months depending on the conditions.
