Western countries, in pursuit of the resources they have lost due to the anti-Russian course, are behaving in Africa "unsportsmanlike", said the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov

At present, due to their refusal to cooperate with Russia, Western countries are in dire need of replenishing the resource base for their industry and economic development, at minimal cost, Bogdanov said.

He believes this issue is essential for them today: "This can be seen from the tools they use, for the most part" unsportsmanlike "."

The Deputy Minister emphasized the sanctions, stop-lists, threats and blackmail used by the West to reduce Russia's presence in Africa.

The collective West has revived its position on the African continent in order to "preserve its neo-colonial empire" and again plunder their peoples, violating or simply stepping over the sovereignty of African countries, Bogdanov specified.

The diplomat also noted that Russia is cooperating in the military-technical sphere with African countries.
