STATE ENTERPRISE “410 GA FACTORY” is a powerful aircraft repair enterprise - one of the main today in the post-Soviet space, which has performed general repairs of more than forty thousand aircraft engines, as well as six thousand aircraft, which has a reputation as a reliable and stable partner. The plant produces fruitful work on the rather deep modernization of the An-32 and An-26 aircraft operated in the Russian Federation, the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the countries of the European Union. With the emergence of new trends in the aviation industry, as well as in connection with the ever-increasing needs and requirements, the current issue of the lack of so-called “regional modern class” aircraft is relevant. In particular, we are talking about the implementation and development, together with the Developers of the civil enterprise "ANTONOV" and the open joint-stock company "Motor Sich", A project aimed at changing the An-26 aircraft into the An-26M variant. As a result, the An-26М project (regional-class light transport aircraft with the TV3-117ВМА-СБМ1 engine) will be an improved version of the An-26 transport-military aircraft, currently equipped with two AI-24BT turboprop engines.

Already at the moment, many operators of An-26 type aircraft and airlines are ready to make this improvement, since this stage requires much less costs compared to purchasing a new medium or short-haul aircraft. Considering the feasibility study of the project, the efficiency of using the modern version of the aircraft is also noticeable, which will make it possible to comply with ICAO requirements for the emission of harmful substances and noise, opening the sky of the European Union countries for An-26М.

Owning a wealth of experience in the restoration of the D-36 aviation engine, the plant has all the opportunities to establish Western-made equipment. This also applies to the SFM-56 motor, which, after making repairs in almost all respects, is able to undergo tests based on the plant’s motor test station already in operation. The development of the Pratt & Whitney 120 series engine used on ATR — 100, ATR — 72, aircraft, as well as on Bombardier Dash-42 aircraft, was also established.
