Significant part of Russia's potential has not yet been used in Ukraine - Pentagon

Russia has not yet committed much of its military capability to the Ukraine crisis, US Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth said March 1 during a seminar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington.

According to Warmuth, Russian President Vladimir Putin "hasn't really deployed much of his air force, or his navy, or his capabilities in cyberspace... All of that still remains."

She added that this cannot but cause concern in Washington, and the US cannot concentrate its efforts solely on China and Southeast Asia.

The view that the United States should no longer pay attention to Russia "bogged down in Ukraine" was called "stupid" by Warmouth.
