27 December 2013. The new 6 heavy CH-47F Chinook helicopters will be built by Boeing. They will also upgrade some 22 helicopters for the US Army. The amount that will be used for the upgrade will be 620 million dollars.

Over the years, the company will produce 5 150 helicopters CH-47F, some of them are new, and some will be upgraded from the CH-47D.

CH-47F helicopters will be equipped with new digital cabins. New turbocharged engines will be supplied by Honeywell. At the moment, the US Army operates regular Chinook helicopters, but in 2038, they will completely switch to the upgraded versions.
