In the Chechen Republic, 17-year-old Adam Kadyrov, son of the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov, has received another award - a commemorative medal dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the mobile special forces unit "Akhmat-Grozny". The award ceremony took place in Grozny, as reported by the Chechnya Today agency on May 12, 2025. The award became another link in the chain of distinctions that mark the young politician, who has held the post of head of the security service of the head of the republic since November 2023. Adam Kadyrov's rapid career growth and numerous honors are causing lively discussions, emphasizing his special role in the political system of the region.

The commemorative medal presented to Adam is dedicated to the anniversary of the Akhmat-Grozny OMON, one of the key units of the Chechen security bloc, created in 2000. This is not the first award for the young Kadyrov: in October 2023, he was awarded the title Hero of the Chechen Republic, and in August 2024, the Order of Kadyrov, the highest award of the region, established in honor of his grandfather, the first president of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov.

Adam Kadyrov's awards include more than 15 state and public distinctions. Among them are the Order of Duslyk of Tatarstan, the Order of Merit of Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, the Russian National Guard Medal for Military Distinction, and the Order of Labor Valor of Russia. As Fontanka notes, the flow of awards began after an incident in September 2023, when Adam beat up Nikita Zhuravel in a pretrial detention center, who was accused of burning the Koran. Ramzan Kadyrov then publicly supported his son.
