11 APRIL. Kherson airport can become an equivalent replacement for Simferopol airport, from which, at the moment, flights are made exclusively to Moscow.

The head of the regional administration made a statement that the Kherson airport would be able to take over some of the functions of the Simferopol airport, however, he immediately clarified that the increase in the flow would be gradual, since the airport at the moment could not accept such a large number of passengers. First of all, the Kherson airport will work with foreign air carriers, and the first in this list is the Turkish airline Turkish Airlines. It was also noted that the government will try to introduce subsidies for all interested in the airlines offering cheap flights to residents of Ukraine.

It should be noted that last year, even with the fact that the Kherson airport operated exclusively in the summer period, it was possible to serve only about one and a half thousand passengers, which is 800 less than in the Simferopol airport, and therefore most likely equivalent to a replacement will not happen.
