The activation of two volcanoes located on Kamchatka led to the rejection of the routes of dozens of flights.

As it became known, this morning, ash pillars threw out two volcanoes at once - Zhupanovsky, which served its activity about a month ago, and Shiveluch volcano. The ash columns of active volcanoes have risen to a height of several kilometers, which poses a serious danger to the flight of aircraft in the area.

Volcanic ash falling into the engine and other parts of aircraft can lead to their failure, which, other things being equal, can cause a plane crash.
