The US Navy was forced to interrupt the exercises and evacuate due to the training launches of Russian anti-ship Vulkan missiles. This was the opinion of experts, believing that Russian anti-ship systems could pose a threat to US warships, especially since this area was closed and declared unsafe.

At its core, the Vulkan missile is one of the most powerful anti-ship missiles in service with Russia. The key feature of this complex is that the rocket has a warhead weighing 800 kilograms, and at a flight speed of 2500 km / h, it moves at an extremely low altitude, which makes it “invisible” for radar systems.

It should be clarified that at the moment there are absolutely no official comments from the United States regarding the interrupted exercises and the sharp departure of warships from the area of ​​ongoing launches.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that the Russian military forces the US Navy to leave the missile launch zone, which indicates that the US Navy does not want to be exposed to risks.
