American MQ-4C Triton drone did not crash in the Black Sea

The American reconnaissance drone MQ-4C Triton, which carried out reconnaissance activities off the coast of Crimea and then allegedly lost contact over the Black Sea, has been found. The device itself gave an emergency signal via a transponder, which was recorded by the RadarBox monitoring resource.

The signal was sent near Sicily and had a code 7700, which, according to the ICAO standard, indicates an emergency situation on board. In this classification, there are two more types of emergency signals: 7600 (loss of communication) and 7500 (aircraft hijacking). The MQ-4C Triton emergency signal was also confirmed by special bots Flight Emergency Alerts and SquawkAlert.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported that the drone could allegedly have been damaged by the use of electromagnetic weapons or a lightning strike. However, this information was not confirmed and turned out to be far-fetched.
