The US Navy patrol aircraft arranged a hunt for a Russian submarine.

29 July, 2018, a Russian diesel-electric submarine B-271 "Kolpino" was seen near the military base in Tartus (Latakia, Syria - ed.), In the background, the US Navy sent a patrol anti-submarine aircraft Boeing P-3 Orion, which today was seen off the coast of Lebanon.

No aggressive actions were observed for the American aircraft, however, obviously, the command of the US Department of Defense decided to provide itself and its allies with reliable protection, especially since the submarine is armed with Caliber missiles and two dozen torpedoes, which makes it all formidable the enemy.

It should be clarified that, according to information provided in open sources, the submarine B-271 "Kolpino" for a long time is in the Mediterranean Sea, providing a reliable cover for Russian troops in the Syrian Arab Republic.

In turn, it should be noted that the US anti-submarine patrol plane Boeing P-3 Orion is also a very strong opponent, despite the fact that it was received by the US Navy at the beginning of the 60-ies of the last century.
