In the United States began testing the latest high-speed helicopter.

On March 21, 2019, American aircraft designers successfully tested the newest high-speed Sikorsky – Boeing SB-1 Defiant helicopter, capable of speeds of about 460-480 km / h.

As can be seen on the presented video frames, the rotorcraft is tested without the use of an auxiliary screw, which should be the second stage of testing, while, as experts note, the machine is pretty confident in the air, which raises absolutely no questions about the success of this project.

According to experts, in fact, the Sikorsky – Boeing SB-1 Defiant helicopter is capable of reaching speeds that are not available to all aircraft, in particular, the same An-26, not to mention light aircraft, can reach speeds of only 440 km \ h

At the moment, we are talking exclusively about testing experimental samples, however, if it does not cause serious problems, then in the next 2-3 years it may well be established and mass production of these helicopters.
