18 November 2013. Direct flight to Yerevan from St. Petersburg was opened by the Armenian airline Air Armenia. A new flight will be carried out once a week (on which day it has not yet been established), the duration of the flight will be 3 hours 35 minutes. 

Yerevan is the most important transport hub in Armenia and is considered the economic, political and cultural center of the country.
