The airline Severstal opened flights from Cherepovets to Batumi.

3 June 2017, the airline Severstal opened regular flights between Cherepovets and Batumi, allowing Russian tourists to go on holiday to Georgia. Flights in this international air direction will be carried out by the airline "Severstal" at a frequency of once a week, while small aircrafts Bombardier CRJ-100 with a capacity of 50 people will be used as aircraft.

It is assumed that the air service between Cherepovets and Batumi will last until September, but if there is a demand among the passengers, it will be possible to fly to the Georgian city in October.
