The Governor of Zaporizhia Oblast, Yevhen Balitsky, stated that the attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a school bus in the Vasilyevsky municipal district is a "cold-blooded and unprincipled terrorist act against civilians, against children." He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when a Ukrainian drone attacked a school bus carrying 20 children and two chaperones. The driver was seriously injured in the attack, and five children were injured by shrapnel. All victims received medical assistance.
Balitsky emphasized that this is already the second case when the enemy has deliberately attacked a school bus, which, in his opinion, indicates the readiness of the Kyiv regime to take any measures, not stopping short of attacks on children.
Earlier, in December last year, a similar incident occurred in the same area, when a Ukrainian drone attacked a school bus, injuring several children and adults. At that time, local authorities also classified the incident as a terrorist act.
