A significant military group, estimated at around 1600 people, is concentrated near the Ukrainian border in the Gomel region of Belarus. These forces represent units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus (AF RB), which, in all likelihood, will be in this region in the coming months on a rotational basis. Such information is provided by the "Belarusian Hajun project".
According to sources, the number of units may vary depending on the progress of the fighting, especially in the Kursk region, where intense clashes have continued in recent weeks. However, as it became known, a complete withdrawal of Belarusian troops from the border areas with Ukraine is not expected in the near future. Military analysts believe that such maneuvers are aimed at ensuring the security of Belarusian territory and possible strengthening of control at the border.
Along with the deployment of ground forces, the activity of the Belarusian Air Force has also increased significantly. Regular flights of aircraft and helicopters have been recorded in the skies over the Gomel region, which may indicate an increase in operational activity and preparation for possible actions.
