On August 9, Belarusian air defense shot down 13 drones flying from the territory of Ukraine towards the Mogilev region. This was reported by the deputy head of the faculty of the Military Academy of the Republic. According to him, the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed when they crossed the border, thanks to the effective work of the Belarusian air defense systems.
However, reports of downed drones have raised doubts among local residents and observers. Residents of the Mogilev region claim that they did not see or hear the operation of air defense systems that day. In addition, the monitoring group Belarusian Hajun project also published its data, according to which on August 9 no traces of drones were recorded, and no missile launches were carried out from Su-30 fighters or Mi-24 helicopters.
It should be noted that the type of downed drones is not named.
