Coastal missile system "Rubezh" in action? Libya announces the sinking of Turkish ships in its waters

Despite the fact that according to official data, Libya has removed from service the Soviet coastal missile systems "Rubezh", it became known that representatives of the Libyan National Army announced the sinking of Turkish warships, if the latter enter the territorial waters of the country, including This also applies to the areas controlled by the Government of National Unity.

“I have an order as soon as Turkish ships begin to arrive. I will have a solution. I will drown them myself. I have this order from Haftar. We will free Tripoli and destroy the Turkish dream»- said the chief of staff of the Navy of Libya, Faraj El Mahdawi.

There are no official statements regarding the fact that we are talking about the Soviet Rubezh missile systems so far, however, given the data presented, to defeat targets in the country's territorial waters, in areas controlled by the Government of National Unity, it is the Rubezh DBK that can hit targets at distances up to 60-80 kilometers.

On the other hand, experts draw attention to the fact that earlier Libya was supposed to become a buyer of much more modern Russian missile defense systems, however, due to the outbreak of war in this country, Russia did not start supplying missile systems, at least officially.
