Russian troops continue active operations in the Kursk direction, successfully clearing the liberated territories. According to military analyst Yuriy Podolyaka, fighters of the 155th brigade and the 51st regiment carried out successful offensive operations, during which they took control of a number of settlements, such as Snagost, Apanasyevka, Vishnevka and Byakhovo. Throughout the night, these territories were cleared of the remaining encircled Ukrainian Armed Forces units.
One of the key roles in these operations is played by the 56th Airborne Regiment, which not only held its positions in the previous weeks of heavy defensive fighting, but is now actively participating in the offensive. The forces of this regiment are advancing from the Komarovka area, liberating Apanasyevka, Vishnevka and the adjacent plantations and villages. According to Podolyaka, by the morning of September 11, most of these territories had been cleared, although pockets of enemy resistance remain in some areas. Nevertheless, these groups do not pose a serious threat to the further advance of Russian troops.
By now, the Russian army's defense lines have been strengthened along the settlements of Snagost, Apanasyevka, Byakhovo and Gordeyevka, which will allow the offensive to continue. The main battles today, as Podolyaka suggests, will unfold in the area of Obukhovka and Lyubimovka. Of particular strategic importance is the village of Zeleny Shlyakh, located to the east of Lyubimovka. This small settlement plays an important role in the communication system of the Ukrainian group in the North Kursk direction.
