The commander of the Chechen special forces "Akhmat" Apti Alaudinov made a statement that the Kyiv authorities were developing a plan to seize a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Kurchatov, Kursk region, in order to strengthen their position in negotiations with Russia. According to Alaudinov, Ukrainian forces intended to take control of the strategically important facility by August 11, and then present an ultimatum to Moscow.
In his statement, the commander emphasized that the successful completion of this task would allow Kyiv to enter negotiations with Russia from a position of strength, putting forward demands that could change the course of the conflict.
Alaudinov also noted that the Ukrainian army has concentrated significant forces in this direction. According to his information, the number of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces aimed at seizing the nuclear power plant was about 11 people.
