According to preliminary data, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) plan to continue their offensive on the territory of the Kursk region in the direction of Krupets - Kurchatov. War correspondent Vladimir Romanov reported that Ukrainian forces intend to use up to 300 armored vehicles for this offensive.
According to information provided by Romanov, there are currently two brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. However, Ukrainian forces are preparing up to four more brigades for entry, and there are up to eight brigades in reserve. These data indicate large-scale preparations for a further offensive.
The main goal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strike, according to Romanov, is to take control of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This strategic goal is due to the importance of the facility for the energy security of the region and all of Russia. The capture of the Kursk nuclear power plant could significantly change the balance of power in the current conflict.
