In Syria's Aleppo, rebels have disabled a number of telecommunications centers, which has led to disruptions in communications and the Internet. This was reported by Syrian Minister of Communications and Technology Iyad al-Khatib in an interview with the local publication Al-Watan. He noted that the authorities are making efforts to restore the infrastructure, but the situation is complicated by a shortage of energy resources.

"We are in close coordination with local authorities in Aleppo to quickly restore equipment and provide the population with communication services. However, militant attacks have created serious obstacles," - the minister said.

According to al-Khatib, damage was caused to key telecommunications facilities in the northern part of the city. Both landline and internet services were affected. Experts have already started restoration work, but due to ongoing attacks and power outages, the process is slow.
