Bolton announces US withdrawal from the Treaty on Missiles and Nuclear Weapons

The United States plans to terminate the Treaty on Medium and Shorter Range Missiles.

Presidential adviser on national security issues, John Bolton, announced that the United States is planning to unilaterally end a treaty concluded with Russia on medium and short-range missiles. The final decision on this issue has not yet been made, but if Washington really takes this step, then the tension in the world will increase significantly, since both Russia and the United States of America will actively increase their missile weapons.

Experts do not exclude that until the end of this year, such a decision will not be made yet, but current trends in American politics make it possible to say with great certainty that Washington will indeed take such a step.

Among other things, the US presidential adviser on national security issues stated the need to block a treaty on the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms. If such a decision is made, it will not only keep the stockpiles of nuclear weapons at the existing level, but also quickly increase them.

With what exactly are similar decisions from John Bolton, so far remains unknown.
