Shares of American aircraft manufacturers collapsed against the background of a detected marriage at the F-35 fighter.

Due to the plane crash that occurred at the end of last month with the participation of the American F-35B fighter in South Carolina, the command of the US Air Force halted the flights of all the fighters of this model, including also modifications. As it became known, the revealed fault was the culprit, which in turn led to the collapse of shares of American companies Lockheed Martin and United Technologies.

In the middle of this year, the US Control and Budget Administration reported that a total of 35 deficiencies were detected in US F-966 fighters, over a hundred of which have an impact on flight safety. However, it was only after the crash involving the F-35B occurred, and it became known that a technical malfunction was the culprit, and the US Air Force stopped the F-35 flights, the shares of American manufacturers went down.

Immediately after the news appeared that the flights of American F-35 fighters were suspended, the shares of Lockheed Martin dropped by 3,12%, and the value of shares of United Technologies dropped by 1,3%.

Analysts believe that if the United States recommends that its partners also suspend the operation of F-35, the decline in the value of the shares may even reach 5%.

Experts, in turn, note that the technical refinement of F-35 fighter jets will require tens of billions of dollars, which will increase the cost of fighters by 20-30%, making them unprofitable.
