MP Ian Zelinsky suggested not to let on the plane drunk passengers

04 February 2014. State Duma deputy Jan Zelinsky proposed banning boarding of passengers under the influence of alcohol, drugs or toxic substances. The LDPR representative justified this decision by increasing the number of unpleasant incidents involving toxic, narcotic or alcoholic intoxication that occur during the flight, as well as at airports.

According to the parliamentarian, the definition of the state of any intoxication must occur before boarding an aircraft.

In the first months of last year alone, more than 3 thousand people were brought to administrative responsibility for drunkenness in airplanes and airport buildings.
