The US Air Force may lose more than a hundred combat aircraft.

According to the American media, the shortage of spare parts could be costly for the US Air Force, as nearly 110 A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft are in danger of being decommissioned. In total, according to official data, there are 281 attack aircraft of this model in service with the United States, however, in the absence of spare parts, the resource of these aircraft may be exhausted only within 7-8 years.

Experts do not exclude that the only way out of this situation may be to uncomplete the most worn-out aircraft in order to extract spare parts, however, even in this case, it will be necessary to abandon the use of attack aircraft by 2030.
