Erdogan announced his intention to abandon the purchase of C-400

For the first time, the Turkish President spoke of his readiness to refuse to acquire the second batch of Russian C-400.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan first talked about the fact that Ankara is considering refusing to purchase another batch of Russian Triumph S-400 air defense systems. Erdogan did not disclose the reasons for this, but at the same time, the Turkish leader noted that the Russian C-400 is supposed to be replaced by American Patriot systems, but only on condition that the US offers a sufficiently advantageous offer.

“We can overcome the differences around C-400 and F-35. I told the president about my desire to buy a Patriot if I got a good offer. ", - the Turkish president noted.

It should be clarified that earlier it became known that Turkey intends to provide the United States with access to the Russian C-400 systems in order to determine the possible threat posed to the fifth-generation American fighter F-35, which may well lead to serious problems for Russia, since the United States may have pretty secret information about the capabilities and the principle of operation of Russian air defense / missile defense systems.
