Estonian Air again cuts airline personnel

28 January 2014. Changes are coming at Estonian Air - the long-desired restructuring is planned. In this regard, nine of the company's flight attendants are threatened with layoffs, since eight of them will expire at the end of the month, and one in March.

The representative of the company, the press secretary of the national aviation company, Ilona Eskelinen, explained this situation. “The fact is that it was planned to reduce the volume of air traffic since September last year, and besides, the number of the organization’s air personnel was reduced in this regard, which caused such a wave of reductions,” one of the agencies reports.

According to the airline's information, Estonian Air will operate only five aircraft for the winter and the upcoming summer flight schedule. The schedule is represented by ten year-round and three seasonal destinations. Currently, all work at Estonian Air is supported by 166 people.
