Europe and Turkey refused to let Russian long-range bombers

Turkey and Europe have closed their airspace for Russian long-range military aircraft.

Due to the actions of a number of European states, as well as Turkey, Russian strategic bombers cannot bomb the positions of the Islamic State terrorist group along the shortest route, in connection with which Russian aircraft are required to fly through international airspace, flying over Europe, and leaving directly to the bombing point, without appropriate preparation for this. Nevertheless, experts note that this problem is not significant for Russian long-range aircraft, however, the very fact of actions on the part of European states can clearly bring a cooling in political relations.

The Avia.pro news agency notes that in less than 3 months of the special operation in Syria to fight against the Islamic State group, Russian planes made almost 5 thousand sorties.
